Items- how they work, how you get them.

Items are one of the most important parts of your journey. Here is the guide, in case you don't know how items work in a pokemon RPG.

Basic Information

Every person will start their journey with a certain amount of items. YOU CANNOT ADD ITEMS TO YOUR INVENTORY THAT YOU HAVE NOT FOUND. To prevent this, only moderators are allowed to edit your inventory, changing it as your journey progresses, adding and subracting all the items you find or use in battle.

Starter Pack

Here are the items you will automatically start off with:
[image] x5 pokeball(s)
[image] x3 potion(s)
[image] x5 bottled water(s)
And then you will be given 5 random berries.

TMs and HMs

You will get TMs and HMs. Each pokemon can learn 4 moves, but in Rihko, HM moves are deletable.

However, a pokemon can not learn a move it's not supposed to. Example, a magikarp cannot learn fly (unless it's a flying fish.. haha.. aha... ha.. sorry ^^;). But a pidgey or sparrow could learn fly, no problem.

If you do not know which moves your pokemon can or cannot learn, http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pokedex.html click here. Look up your pokemon, and there should be a list of moves it can learn at each level.

Equipped Items

Items that your pokemon are holding may have an effect on the way they battle. For example..

This item will make your pokemon more friendly towards you, making it less likely to ignore you during battle.

There are A LOT of these held items for pokemon. I cannot name them all here at the moment. Maybe someday I will. But for now, if you have a question on the effects of an equipped item to a pokemon, then PM a moderator. :)

All done!

If you have any questions, please PM me!
Also, if I left out something, I will be more than happy to add it here.
